SIMPLE TUTORIAL ON HOW TO ROOT YOUR SAMSUNG S3

Tools needed:

-ODIN 3.04 Download here
-CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0.zip Download here. (make sure to unzip file before continuing with root process)

How to Root & Install CWM Recovery on your Galaxy SIII:

1. Set your phone to USB Debugging mode [Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging. Now fully power off your device.
2. Hold the Volume Down + Home + Power simultaneously (this will switch the device to download mode)
3. Launch ODIN on PC
4. Connect the S3 to your computer via USB
5. After a few moments, ODIN will show that a device is now connected. **Note if ODIN does not detect your device, then you have not installed the proper drivers found here.
6. Click the PDA button, then select CF-Root-SGS3-v6.0.tar
7. Click the ODIN “Start” button. ODIN will begin to flash the new firmware. Once complete the device should reboot on it’s own.
8. Congrats! Your S3 is now rooted with CWM Recovery installed. You are free to enjoy your new Superuser privlages.
